Every business needs to know the basics of how to conduct an interview with a reporter for the most positive impact. It is important to know how to shape a good quote and how to pitch a story idea to the newspaper, TV or online editor. The Chamber's Marketing and Communications Council invites you to a lunch seminar on Media Training, where participants will learn how to utilize news interviews to raise awareness of your business' products, services and events. Additionally, you will discover how to pitch a news story so it rises to the top of the editor's list. A local panel of news directors will be on-hand to address specific questions based on the media - print, magazine, TV or online news. This is a general session about how the media works and how to put your best foot forward to increase awareness about your company. This is the second of a three-part series of lunch workshops, for CEOs and executive leaders, that address some of today's media benefits and challenges. The series will conclude in October and is targeted for business leaders who may not have a public relations agenccy or media department.
